1) An Industrial Designer is a mix between an Artist and an Engineer. The designer provides a virtual prototype of the product going to be made or the product that is being redesigned. The Industrial Designers focus is on use ability, ergonomics, and function of the proposed product.

 

2) To start your own product you will need an Industrial Designer, they provide the images necessary to present to capital investors.

 

3) A Virtual prototype is a digital representation of a sketch or idea of a new product. These virtual prototypes are a 2D image of what the product will look like when finished.

 

4) Depending on the product, you will need some kind of capital investment. Your new product development start up cost can range from a 200,000. to well over a one million, depending on the market your product will enter.

 

5) You will need a prototype to prove the function or use of the product. This phase of manufacturing your product is the R&D (research and development) phase.

 

6) A Prototype is a real life representation of the product. This usually is not a finished product nor can it be used as one.
