Industrial Design
Industrial design, also known as design engineering is a mix of artistic talent and mathematical engineering. Not always a good combination, but can serve as a great tool to compliment both the engineering department and drafting department. Most of us specialize in our abilities, and this actually creates an acute process of thinking, undermining what we don’t know or understand. Communication is the key to progress, and continued growth in application building, whatever the application may be. Critically thinking, the artist and the engineer have two major problems with developing new products. Depending on what kind of engineers involved the solutions for presentation are limited and this is where the 2d or perspective views are necessary, and the drafter then becomes pressed to think about engineering, kind of a double edge sword. Math has a language that mathematicians understand and communicate with, this goes for most engineering concepts. The divide of understanding between math and actual production is accountable to the finished product. Product Development
I am finding that many people who get in contact with me have some good ideas for a new product, but the biggest problem is that the funding is just not there! I have a few small solutions, and first starting with local friends and family members, I know that friends and family can seem to be a bit frustrating to work with, though you will find that they might be your best support line. The fact that you’re trying to accomplish a goal means more to them, and it’s also inspiring. First test your idea on a few people close to you and get some feedback, if your idea is good you will know very quickly. Your next step is to come up with some type of rendering of this product so you and your investment team can understand the pros and cons of the product. Like most new products the process of the idea to the finished product is extremely time consuming and also be stressful. Remember to take your time with understanding different avenues of accomplishing your goal. One of the hardest parts of these new ideas is trusting those around you to keep it a secret until you can actually get the product on the market. This is where the non-disclosure comes in, and in most cases this scares people, probably because they have a nervous condition, and they think if they sign something they are locked into some kind of contract. In all actuality this is not true and it’s a way for people to relax and not worry about unknown circumstances. The next thing to accomplish or establish is the product identity. What is the product and what market will it be used for, this is why you have built a team, for understanding and developing a good idea of the products overall use and marketability. Nothing is for free so the best thing to do is to first spend the money the right way, because you want a little to go a long way. The product needs a value, an image, something that your team can look at, this will cost you but this is the key ingredient to moving forward, a picture means a million words. Engineering on the other had is extremely difficult to understand, and thats probably why there are so few of them. When you find the right engineer for your team of vendors you will easily find that they need more information from you than you originaly thought. So take your time and listen and understand what kind of things are important to your new product.

Injection Molding
Injection Molding is the way that manufacturers produce a plastic part of a product. Each mold is specific, and is made to fit different types of injectors. The actual Molds are made in different ways, mostly by CNC machining. A mold machine is made of two different parts one being the injector in the other being the clamping unit. Manufacturers use different types of machines that are made by different vendors, but many of them are interchangeable or can be retrofitted to work with other machines. The mold is held in place by the clamping unit, these clamping units are different for each machine depending on the type of injection being used, usually depending on size of the part being made.
